St John C of E Primary School, County Durham

The old outdoor space at St Johns was tired, dated and uninspiring. We were asked to give some cost effective ways of improving the area and repurposing an old sandpit. By using existing aspects like the stainless steel slide and the old sail supports in the sand area we were able to give it a new lease of life. It now features open-ended climbing clusters, fallen logs, challenging towers, robust pulleys, shelters, stages and bridges.
